UNEVEN CHEST AFTER GYNECOMASTIA SURGERY?

  • It is common to see uneven areas and swollen areas after Male Breast surgery that involved extensive liposuction.
  • One of the most important factors for success after such a procedure is for the patient to wear a tight compressive garment continuously.  This will help with the resolution of oedema (swelling) and will allow the skin to smoothly settle onto the underlying muscle area.
  • If after few (usually about 6 months) after your surgery you still have irregularities it is possible that uneven amount of fat was removed. Discuss your concerns with your plastic surgeon and  it will be possible  to evaluate if you have a problem
  • An even areas may generally be corrected with a revision procedure that includes liposuction / possible fat grafting in to areas of depression.
